Saab has been awarded a $16.8 million contract to produce simulation systems for use in a training program run by Norway’s defense logistics organization.
The contract is an extension of Saab’s training and simulation service for the Norwegian Army that began in 2003 and also calls for training facility upgrades, Saab said Thursday.
“Together we will expand and improve the current training capabilities at the Norwegian Combat Training Center,†said Dag Wikoren, head of marketing and sales for Saab in Norway.
Saab will deliver the systems beginning in 2016 through 2020.
