CorMatrix Cardiovascular has secured a contract to supply medical devices and related supplies to the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal agencies through the company’s distribution partnership with Lovell Government Services.
CorMatrix said Tuesday it will offer its CorMatrix CanGaroo extracellular matrix platform and medical supplies to the Veterans Health Administration and other military health networks through the VA’s Federal Supply Schedule website.
“We reached out to LGS in our effort to simplify and streamline federal contracting sales channels,†said David Camp, CEO of CorMatrix.
CorMatrix’s CanGaroo ECM is made from porcine-derived small intestinal submucosa and is designed to act as a scaffold that enables a patient’s stem cells to form tissue and stimulate repair of cardiac, vascular and pericardial tissues.
Thedevice has a U.S. clearance and CE Mark approval in Europe for use in cardiovascular work.
