Maximus has developed a pharmacy benefits management platform designed to help state governments manage Medicaid prescription drug programs and comply with Affordable Care Act.
DecisionPoint is comprised of tools for state Medicaid administrators to monitor PBM requirements, benefits and beneficiaries, prescriber populations, member pharmacies and prior authorizations, Maximus said Monday.
“Health care reform brought millions of new beneficiaries into Medicaid programs,” said Maximus President Bruce Caswell.
Caswell added the company aims to help government clients manage program expansion with the DecisionPoint technology.
The company is set to introduce and demonstrate its new offering at the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, this week.
