Concurrent Technologies Corp. has handed this year’s CTC Award in Honor of Congressman John P. Murtha to business major Nathan C. Eltz to acknowledge the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown student’s work in civic leadership.
Pitt-Johnstown President Jem Spectar bestowed the recognition at the college’s academic honors convocation last month, with CTC Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer Vicki Barbur also in attendance, the company said Wednesday.
“Congressman Murtha, who served in the legislature for 36 years, had a saying that was important to him. His grandmother, Mary Bell, told him, ‘We are put on this earth to make a difference,’ and Nathan has what it takes to truly make a difference in the world,†CTC President and CEO Ed Sheehan said in a message to mark the annual recognition.
“We are proud to honor Nathan and look forward to seeing him do great things.â€
