Siki Giunta, senior vice president for global cloud business at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, said the company aims to be a top provider of cloud computing products and services in the international market, Fortune magazine reported Thursday.
“We want to be a global player,†Giunta told the magazine.

Verizon released a new portfolio of infrastructure-as-a-service and object-storage platforms last fall with intent to help customers address agility and cost issues, according to the article.
Guinta previously led Managed Objects and Fortisphere as CEO and served in leadership positions at Computer Sciences Corp., Computer Associates, Novell and Synapse.
The Italian-born executive studied art history and literature in Rome as well as civilization and French language in Paris.
