Software AG has launched a new version of its Apama Streaming Analytics platform with multichannel data streaming and parallel processing functions, native integration with Software AG Universal Messaging and a shared developer environment with other products.
The company said Monday the platform works to monitor and analyze streaming big data from sources such as social media, mobile applications and the Internet of Things to help guide business decisions.
“The pace at which enterprises capture and analyze data is increasing exponentially, and streaming analytics products must keep pace and scale,” said Wolfram Jost, Software AG chief technology officer and executive board member.
“Software that supports the full capacity of multi-core servers offers enterprises the opportunity to significantly improve performance and reduce cost.”
Software AG has also partnered with Intel to demonstrate Apama’s location-based awareness functions using the Intel Xeon processor E7 v2 server.
Intel Software and Services Vice President Pete Baker said this collaboration aims to establish the performance benchmark for big data streaming analytics in the retail market.
Capital market customers can also apply Apama Streaming Analytics in electronic foreign exchange commerce, market surveillance and high-frequency trading, Software AG said.
