Sean Poulley: IBM Enters Big Data Link-Up With Yonyou China

IBM has partnered with software vendor Yonyou Software to optimize IBM’s database server technology for NC, Yonyou’s ERP, supply chain and human resources application suite.

The collaboration will see the China-based enterprise management solutions provider utilizing the Cognos business intelligence software to develop an ecosystem that uses big data and analytics technologies for application testing, technical help, marketing expertise and sales support, IBM said Saturday.

“Data is the world’s new natural resource, and our goal is to provide Yonyou customers with best-in-class transaction and analytic capabilities,” said Sean Poulley, vice president for databases and data warehousing at IBM’s information management division.

“Leveraging IBM’s China Software Development Lab, IBM is committed to developing a new-generation ecosystem and to continue on as a trusted provider to Chinese enterprises like Yonyou,” he added.
