Marillyn Hewson, chairman, president and CEO of Lockheed Martin, has outlined the company’s planned strategy for technology initiatives as she encouraged collaboration and innovation among Lockheed’s engineering, scientific and technical workforce.
The company said Wednesday Hewson also pointed to new education efforts on science, technology, engineering and math during an address at the Lockheed Martin Fellows Conference.
“Together, we envision a great future. A future that’s defined by progress, that’s enriched by discovery, and that’s powered by innovation,” she said.
She also addressed global collaboration and work to meet customer needs through technology development during the annual event, which focuses on industry goals such as opportunities for professional networking.
Lockheed said 500 of its employees in the STEM fields attended the conference.
