Serco Inc., the U.K.-based services contractor’s North American arm, will work with the U.S. Navy‘s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command to install a shipboard network on the USS Ronald Reagan.
The company said Tuesday that it will perform the work under a potential two-and-a-half year, $17.5 million contract that includes an option for installation work on the USS Carl Vinson.
“We will put to use our extensive knowledge of C4ISR solutions to support the warfighters aboard the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Carl Vinson,†said Dan Allen, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc.
Serco Inc. received the task order through the Sea Enterprise II contract and will help SPAWAR implement the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services, which is intended as a single, consolidated shipboard network.
