HP Autonomy has released a new version of its HP IDOL information processing tool that is designed to integrate with other components of the HAVEn big data platform to address the increasing number of analytics applications in businesses.
The company said Thursday HP IDOL 10.5 will operate with a combination of HP Vertica’s data processing speed, HP ArcSight’s information security and Apache Hadoop’s data repositories.
Insights gained from processing structured, machine and unstructured human data could help companies develop their business strategies, it added.
“Big data has always offered big potential to organizations looking to do more with their information assets,†said Rohit de Souza, general manager of information analytics at HP Autonomy.
