BAE Systems looks to compete for a proposed program to replace the U.S. Army’s small unit support vehicles in Alaska and other areas in the Arctic region, National Defense Magazine reported Wednesday. Keith Klemmer, director of business development for the National Guard for combat vehicles at BAE, said the company plans to offer its Beowulf and BvS10 vehicles as potential replacements for the SUSV, an amphibious platform built to travel through snow, swamps, mud and other rough terrain environments.
