Laser communications technology developer Mynaric has secured a contract to develop an intersatellite optical communications terminal for enabling satellite constellations to communicate in space. The company said Tuesday it will serve as a development partner for the second phase of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Space-Based Adaptive Communications Node program.
MoreMynaric announced on Friday that the company has appointed Tim Deaver as vice president of strategic solutions. Deaver has over 20 years of experience with government space programs. He will operate out of Mynaric’s newly established Washington, D.C. area office and will be responsible for creating and marketing customer solutions, in response to the critical needs of the Department of Defense (DOD) and other government clients.
