Raytheon has completed over 1.7K wind tunnel tests of the extended-range variant of the ground-launched AMRAAM air-to-air missile built to intercept targets at longer ranges and higher altitudes. The company said Monday the completion of the tests marks a step in the qualification of the AMRAAM-ER missile for incorporation into the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System.
