Harris CapRock Communications has secured a contract to integrate 22 telecommunications systems in order to provide video conferencing services and wireless connectivity for Hess Corp.’s offshore oil and gas field project in the Gulf of Mexico.
Under the contract, the Harris subsidiary will perform equipment procurement, design detailing, engineering, factory testing and project management work to build an integrated communications platform for the Stampede offshore development project, the company said Wednesday.
Tracey Haslam, president of Harris CapRock Communications, said the integration will work to help Hess achieve cost savings and improve responsiveness in the area.
