NASA BuildingBPRH Architect and Engineers and Jones Edmunds and Associates have won a nearly $20 million contract each to refurbish various NASA launch and landing facilities in the U.S. and worldwide.

The contractors will provide architect-engineer services for the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and other NASA sites under the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts, NASA said Friday.

BPRH and Jones Edmunds and Associates will work to design new facilities and rehabilitate existing commercial buildings, industrial facilities and laboratories.

The companies will also prepare studies, specifications and other reports for construction, roadways, parking facilities, traffic signalization, ground transportation infrastructure, railroads, airport runways and hangars, among other facilities.

The architect-engineer services are meant to adopt sustainability concepts that comply with executive orders and the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system.
