TeleCommunication Systems has been selected to deploy its VirtuMedix telemedicine system for the patients of Infinity HealthCare and Emergency Physician Medical Group in the Midwest region.
Infinity HealthCare and EPMG physicians will engage patients via computers and mobile devices on VirtuMedix’s cloud-based architecture, TCS said Thursday.
Jay Whitehurst, TCS commercial software group president, said the company intends for the platform to help Infinity HealthCare and EPMG provide medical care through telemedicine.
The platform is also designed to help healthcare workers expand their patient outreach through VirtuMedix.
Using the platform, patients are able to upload data from their activity tracking devices and the clinical workflows streamline physician tasks, TCS says.
Infinity Healthcare and EPMG recently formed CareonQ to connect patients with physicians.
Christopher Newton, EPMG president and CEO, said the group would deliver virtual healthcare to patients through CAREonQ.com under its partnership with TCS.
