Intergraph Government Solutions has been awarded a potential $6.9 million contract to upgrade the U.S. Air Force’s F-15 Eagle scheduled maintenance program.
The project will involve work to maintain the fleet using Maintenance Steering Group-3 level processes, IGS said Friday.
MSG-3, which IGS developed specifically for aviation, is designed to harvest the kind of technical data that the company said is needed to help extend the lifecycle of the fleet.
Gerald King, IGS senior vice president, said his team will apply the same techniques they have in past projects, including the C-5 Galaxy aircraft and UH-1N helicopter.
“IGS is enthusiastic about the opportunity to apply our value-added solutions,” King said, with a goal “to enhance aircraft safety, boost reliability, shrink maintenance costs and support extended lifecycles.”
Work will be performed in Warner Robins, Georgia, and the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command is the contracting activity.
