Eastern Foundry has launched a government technology and innovation incubator in Crystal City in an effort to help companies pursue government business opportunities.
Geoff Orazem, Eastern Foundry’s co-founder and CEO, said Tuesday the incubator is intended to provide “reasonably priced office space and business services†to small government contractors.
Orazem added that government tech innovators will be able to mentor and coach each other and provide administrative support functions.
The Eastern Foundry incubator also aims to help small businesses obtain administrative and financial resources and identify former government employees in order to fulfill subject matter expert contract needs.
Federal agencies will also have access to a community of practitioners in order to collect market data and procurement information through the incubator, Orazem said.
Eastern Foundry said small and medium-sized businesses have already rented more than 75 percent of its space.
