The company’s anti-jamming platform is designed with a tactical networking waveform that aims to protect signals from adversarial interference and cyber threats, Boeing said Tuesday.

“We’ve confirmed this technology can be applied quickly and affordably to existing assets, especially operational Wideband Global SATCOM satellites and ground terminals,” said Dan Hart, vice president of Boeing’s government satellite systems.

According to Boeing, the system worked to secure communications between a ViaSat-based ground infrastructure and a station developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory during a recent trial.

The company performed the demonstration under a contract with the U.S. Air Force‘s space and missile systems center.
