Team DecisionSim will continue to develop clinical simulations for the Veterans Affairs Department‘s simulation training and education program.
VA has been applying the DecisionSim platform on patient safety, women’s health, palliative care, specialty care, team and communication skills training, human resources and operations areas, Decision Simulation said Wednesday.
“We are excited about the VA’s continued expansion of DecisionSim and are honored to be a valued partner in the VA’s effort to improve patient care,”said James McGee, chair of the scientific advisory board at Decision Simulation.
“By utilizing DecisionSim, VA healthcare professionals and staff will be better equipped to meet the needs of all Veterans and continually improve patient outcomes,â€Â McGee added.
VA kicked off the pilot SimLEARN program in 2011 using the DecisionSim platform and awarded a five-year contract to Decision Simulation in 2012 to extend the VA employees’ access to that platform.
Team DecisionSim consists of Decision Simulation, Catapult Technology and Simulation Learning, with support from The SALUS Group, AXDEV Group and the University of Central Florida’s mixed emerging technology integration lab.
