Unisys will collaborate with IBM and Deloitte Consulting to consolidate seven data centers of Pennsylvania into a hybrid cloud platform under a seven-year, $681 million contract, eWeek reported Thursday.
Jeffrey Burt writes Pennsylvania’s state agencies will have access to support services hosted in Unisys’ data centers for their infrastructures, storage, security and database services.
Unisys will also provide management services for projects, contracts, service desk, configuration, facilities, technical services and security, according to the report.
Pennsylvania officials will be able to schedule server and storage resources based on actual requirements for computing services, eWeek reports.
Burt writes state agencies will also be able to supply subscription-based services through a catalog.
