Bruce Manning, CH2M HILL Fellow Water Treatment Technologist and Fuller Society inductee will be presented with American Water Works Association‘s Fuller Award, the most-revered distinction in leadership at the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition in Boston, Mass., June 8-12. Selected annually for exceptional service in the water supply industry the Fuller Award is the highest honor given by AWWA for the recognition of engineering skill, diplomatic talent and leadership prowess.
Nominated by the Missouri branch Manning is to be recognized for his 36 years of providing a formidable volume of industry expertise and leadership skills to the water treatment workforce. A former past-Chair of the Missouri AWWA Source Water Protection Committee as well as a twenty-year, nationally-recognized board member of the Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater Review Board, he has received bountiful recognition for his work in water treatment and leadership excellence.
“Bruce is an industry leader and water quality expert. He was one of the original developers on AWWA’s Partnership for Safe Water with the U.S. EPA and has contributed significantly to numerous water quality and water treatment projects throughout his career,” said CH2M HILL Global Technology Director Brock McEwen. “It is an honor to have Bruce represent CH2M HILL and accept AWWA’s highest honor.”In 2010 and 2013 Manning was the recipient of AWWA’s Dr. Warren Kramer Award for ‘Best Technical Paper’ focusing on water treatment, no doubt putting his B.S. in Environmental Science from Northwest Missouri State University to good use.
