The Northrop Grumman-built unmanned aircraft Global Hawk recorded 665 flight hours during exercise and operational activities for the week that ended Feb. 23, 2014.
To date, the high altitude long endurance drone has flown more than 110,000 hours to support global missions of the Air Force, Navy and NASA, Northrop said Wednesday.
Global Hawk logged 433.8 hours of average flight time a week in 2013, according to Northrop.
The Air Force saw the drone’s cost per hour decline by almost 30 percent last year compared with 2012 levels, the company says.
Northrop says the military branch owns 32 Global Hawks that are currently operational worldwide.
