Sagetech Corp. has introduced a fresh kit for monitoring unmanned aerial systems using tablet computers.
The ADS-B Tracker Kit is built with a micro transponder, Clarity ADS-B receiver and a zero-interface iPad, Â Sagetech said Tuesday.
Kelvin Scribner, Sagetech president, said the company intends for the product to assist in public safety missions for UAVs.
Air traffic control, aircraft and third party operators will be able to track drones using commercial off-the-shelf tools.
Sagetech noted that the Congress has mandated the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure the safety of UAS operations within the national airspace system.
