FireEye has released a white paper that suggests cybersecurity measures for helping enterprise IT personnel identify and address zero-day threats.
The report was a collaboration between executives from FireEye, Mandiant, LogRhythm and Imperva, FireEye said Wednesday.
Authors recommend that businesses establish cybersecurity teams, use technology to protect data and make incident response part of the business process.
“The current trend we are seeing is the uniqueness of each attack, with the likes of 67 percent of malware only being used once and at the rate of nearly 1.5 per second on average,” said Jason Steer, director of technology strategy at FireEye.
“For all of us, it is now about identifying if an attacker has access to your systems and eliminating the time those attackers evade detection,” Steer added.
FireEye has developed a cybersecurity platform for government and commercial entities to block primary threat vectors in real time.
The Threat Prevention Platform works to leverage a virtual execution system to deliver intelligence on sophisticated cyber threats, according to FireEye.
