Pentek has launched a new suite of data recorder products for aerospace and defense customers to perform field operations in harsh environments, Military & Aerospace Electronics reported Thursday.
John Keller writes the Talon RTX Rackmount data storage system is built to record up to 30 terabytes of military data at 5 gigabytes per second.
The data recorder sports the QuickPac canister for users to remove and replace storage drives, according to the report.
Each canister is built to carry eight solid-state drives and up to four QuickPac canisters for installation in Talon RTX Rackmount’s Nova Integration Solutions-built chassis, the report says.
Keller writes the QuickPac canisters are also designed with transport cases to be transferred to the lab for offload or analysis.
The recorder runs an Intel Core I7 processor and features Windows 7 Professional workstation and Pentek’s SystemFlow software for system control, Military & Aerospace Electronics reports.
