Thales has been awarded a contract to help the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand refresh air traffic control equipment and management systems, Defenseworld.net reported Tuesday.
Aerothai aims to use the Thailand Modernization CNS/ATM system to air traffic in the country and facilitate interoperability with neighboring countries, the report said.
The TMCS will be based on the company’s TopSky-ATC system and will be designed with different back-up and contigency levels to serve the country’s en-route air traffic control center, control 41 regional airport towers and six approach control centers, Defenseworld.net reports.
Thales will also provide TopSky-Simulator for air traffic controller training as well as the TopSky-Arrival/Departure Manager, according to the report.
