Verizon’s Terremark subsidiary has predicted that companies will move enterprise applications into cloud environments in 2014, Light Reading reported Sunday.
Carol Wilson writes employees will also continue to further use enterprise tools and personal mobile devices at work.
John Considine, chief technology officer at Verizon Terremark, told the publication pay-as-you-go cloud services adoption is rising as information technology consumerization grows.
Considine also told Light Reading that Verizon Terremark plans to combine distributed databases, platform-as-a-service infrastructures, languages and apps architectures.
He said analytics and virtualization will impact the enterprise market in 2014 as enterprises intend to gain insights into their business, Light Reading reports.
