IT services provider DMI has registered a perfect score in the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification 2.0 Level 2 Joint Verification Security Assessment, or JVSA, conducted by the Defense Contract Management Agency.
DMI said Tuesday that the milestone confirms it has implemented all cybersecurity practices required under CMMC 2.0. The achievement represents a critical standard for companies with access to sensitive government data and programs.
Safeguarding Critical Government Data
According to DMI Chief Technology Officer Gary Wang, the achievement highlights “our deep commitment to safeguarding critical government information and supporting security for our nation.”
“As threats to the defense industrial base grow more sophisticated, we are proud to deliver secure and innovative services that help protect national interests and modernize government technology services,” he added.
Bolstering Defense Contractors’ Cyber Readiness
CMMC 2.0 is a Department of Defense effort seeking to bolster defense contractors’ cyber readiness. Under the program, certified third-party assessment organizations conduct the JVSA to evaluate companies’ ability to safeguard controlled unclassified information and federal contract information. The process is carried out using the cybersecurity benchmark from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
After securing the CMMC perfect score, DMI is now part of a group of organizations recognized by the DOD for excellence in cybersecurity and supply chain protection.
