Aretum Names Tino Pania, John Lauer as New Business Development Directors

Aretum Names Tino Pania, John Lauer as New Business Development Directors - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Aretum has welcomed Tino Pania and John Lauer to its leadership team. Pania will serve as director of business development for the federal civilian sector while Lauer will serve as director of business development for the Department of Defense and Navy programs, the government contracting company said.

Who is Tino Pania?

Pania brings to Aretum extensive business development lifecycle experience and expertise in public, private and non-profit organizations. Before Aretum, he held the role of senior capture and client solutions manager at Nava, a technology consultancy that also serves government agencies. 

His resume also includes positions at xScion Solutions, Global Technology Partners, American Institute for Research, SteelCloud and Technology Ventures. 

“Tino’s strategic vision and deep understanding of the federal civilian landscape will be instrumental in expanding our impact and forging meaningful partnerships across civilian agencies,” said Sean DuGuay, chief growth officer at Aretum. “His goal is to help our government move forward stronger and more efficient. I can think of no better Business Development executive in his position.”

Pania has a master’s degree in management information systems from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western Reserve University. 

Who is John Lauer?

Lauer joins Aretum from QinetiQ, where he briefly held the position of senior business development manager. 

He also served as senior business development manager and then director of business development during his over two years at Leidos. 

Lauer’s private sector experience also includes leadership positions at NCI Information Systems, Sayres and Associates and General Dynamics Information Technology

For the majority of his career, he served in the Navy. Among his roles in the military are as commanding officer of USS Curtis Wilbur, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, and as ballistic missile defense branch chief for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. 

“John’s ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies has made him an indispensable force in accelerating business expansion and securing a competitive edge in the industry,” DuGuay commented. “His leadership will be vital as we continue supporting mission-critical DOD with a focus on Navy initiatives.”

Lauer holds a master’s degree in national security affairs from the U.S. Naval War College and master’s in management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
