Open source technology company Altamira Technologies has named Rich Fields its new vice president.
Fields announced his new position on LinkedIn, noting that as Altamira VP, he will be responsible for developing and leading business strategies related to the Department of Defense with the aim of expanding the company’s presence in that sector.
Before joining Altamira, Fields served as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, handling the responsibilities of national cyber platform growth leader. He had also been part of Northrop Grumman, initially serving as senior business development manager for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and electronic warfare programs; and later as senior capture manager for the networked information solutions division.
Earlier in his career, Fields had served in U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command.
The new Altamira VP holds a master’s degree in political science from Auburn University and a master’s degree in military operational art and science from the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College.
