Aerospace and defense engineering firm Boecore is set to expand its operations in Colorado and generate 620 new jobs focused on software and systems engineering.
The company will establish a large sensitive compartmented information facility in Colorado Springs to house the additional operations and employees, the Colorado government said.
Boecore will collaborate with the Polis-Primavera Administration and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade to build the facility.
To support Boecore’s expansion, the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $7.5 million in performance-based job growth incentive tax credits for an eight-year period. Additionally, the City of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC are working on a local incentive package worth $671,626.
“Because of these awards and the decision to keep Space Command here in Colorado, we’ve decided that Colorado Springs will be the continued location of our headquarters and the primary focus of our growth and investments,” said Tom Dickson, president of Boecore.
The incentives will go into new infrastructure, office space and recruitment, according to Dickson.
