Accenture‘s government-focused arm has secured a $24 million contract from the Defense Health Agency to assist the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems in its Medical Common Operating Picture initiative.
The Defense Department said Friday Accenture Federal Services will provide enterprise-wide, real-time medical situational information as well as facilitate operational medicine information sharing and collaboration under the five-year MedCOP deal.
MedCOP is a web-based platform designed to deliver health surveillance and medical operations data to command surgeons and medical commanders in near real-time to help them make well-informed health care decisions.
Defense Healthcare Management Systems’ Program Executive Office serves as the contracting activity and is obligating fiscal 2023 procurement, operations and maintenance and research, development, testing and evaluation funds for the sole-source contract, which has a one-year base period and four option years.
Work is expected to occur within contiguous U.S. and/or outside contiguous U.S. through April 2028, if all options are exercised.
