Collins Aerospace has launched an initiative to support small- to medium-sized businesses focused on technological innovations in artificial intelligence, quantum computing and other deep tech fields.
The Powered by Collins Initiative was created to enable Collins to team up with deep tech enterprises and help them field novel aerospace products and services, the company said Monday.
The program is starting off with four collaboration opportunities in the areas of small unmanned aircraft system autonomy, composites recycling, extravehicular space mobility and high-performance batteries.
“Deep Tech firms are responsible for some of today’s most groundbreaking technological innovations, so collaboration with them is critical to our mission of providing the most advanced solutions to our customers as quickly as possible,” said Mary Lombardo, vice president of advanced technology for Collins Aerospace.
The initial round of collaborations is open to companies within or outside the aviation and space sector with a staff of at least three full-time employees.
