U.S. Army veteran Ross Berkoff has been appointed general manager of RiverTech, an Akima subsidiary.
As general manager, Berkoff will be responsible for growing RiverTech’s work with numerous global government customers and extending the organization’s use of its OASIS Small Business contract, Akima announced from Herndon, Virginia on Tuesday.
“Ross’ experience in business strategy and operations management will aid him in his new leadership role. With his significant military and industry experience, Ross will be a tremendous asset as we align closer with our customers’ mission goals and grow our business,” said Duncan Greene, president of Akima’s mission systems, engineering and technology unit.
Berkoff holds two decades of experience in intelligence-focused leadership and management across the Army, defense and law enforcement sectors.
Most recently, Berkoff served as general manager of The Informatics Applications Group’s homeland security and intelligence community business, where he worked to grow the business further into the defense and federal civilian markets.
He has held earlier management positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and BAE Systems as well as a vice president and division manager role for intelligence community programs at Cyberspace Solutions.
Before entering the private sector, Berkoff served as a military intelligence officer in the Army, for which he received two Bronze Star medals.
Aside from his role at RiverTech, Berkoff will also assume general manager position at Five Rivers Services and Five Rivers Analytics, two additional Akima subsidiaries.
