Electrosoft will assist the National Institute of Standards and Technology in updating Special Publications in line with the Federal Information Processing Standard 201-3.
Under a prime contract, Electrosoft said Tuesday it will work with NIST to align SP 800-73 or Interfaces for Personal Identity Verification, and 800-79 or Authorization of PIV Card Issuers and Derived PIV Credential Issuers, with the recently revised FIPS 201-3.
Overall, efforts are aimed at supporting the enhancement of the Identity, Credential, and Access Management for federal agencies.
The technology-based service provider will offer technical engineering and standards updates.
“We’re proud to be a thought leader in government-wide interoperability standards for identity credentials and we’re pleased to continue supporting NIST in increasing the security of federal agencies and the National Information Infrastructure,” said Electrosoft CEO Sarbari Gupta.
Electrosoft and NIST have over two decades of partnership focused on developing and updating information assurance and cybersecurity standards and SPs.
