Mark Miklos, a vice president at the defense and space business of Spirit AeroSystems, has been promoted to senior VP in a move slated to take effect April 1.
He will assume his new position after Duane Hawkins, the unit’s president, retires at the end of March, the aerostructure manufacturing company said Wednesday.
The 25-year advanced materials industry veteran joined Spirit AeroSystems in 2020 through the acquisition of Fiber Materials, which he led as CEO between 2017 and 2020.
“Mark brings both industry experience and operational expertise to the role as he helps us further diversify Spirit’s portfolio,” said Tom Gentile, president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems.
