Michael Conlin, chief technology officer at Definitive Logic, said the adoption of a DL-designed enterprise technology enabled the acquisition services directorate at the Department of the Interior to deploy a data analytics platform to facilitate and speed up the integration of data from its three independent systems – core financial system, federal repository for contracting data and contract lifecycle management platform.
The AQD user community at DOI’s interior business center was able to automate data acquisition, cleansing and integration processes using Definitive Logic’s Business Enterprise Acquisition Resource platform, Conlin, a previous Wash100 Award winner, wrote.
He noted the BEAR platform implementation helped DOI’s acquisition community shift its focus from manual data processing to managing contracts and customers and enhance its ability to comply with rules, policies and regulations, meet federal reporting requirements and improve the quality of data.
Conlin said the company’s BEAR platform uses Microsoft technologies and tools for both the back-end and front-end.
