The General Services Administration has selected eight companies to provide model year 2022 light-duty vehicles, including both zero-emission and fossil fuel-powered vehicles, as part of the GSA Fleet program.
Federal agencies can begin purchasing model year 2022 vehicles via the GSA AutoChoice service or lease the units from GSA Fleet, the government procurement agency said Thursday.
Agencies can also alternatively have vehicles leased directly from corresponding contractors.
“For the fiscal year that just ended, federal partners purchased 47,350 vehicles from GSA, averaging more than 20% below dealer invoice — an estimated savings of $410 million,” said Charlotte Phelan, assistant commissioner for travel, transportation and logistics at GSA.
Phelan added that GSA expects to purchase more zero-emission vehicles as agencies work to align with a presidential executive order on climate change.
GSA offers ZEVs including battery EVs and plug-in hybrid EVs in sedan, van, sport utility vehicle, crossover and pickup truck categories.
The following companies will provide light-duty vehicles under 60-month contracts with GSA:

- Holman Automotive

- Stellantis N.V.
