Barbara Fast, a former U.S. Army intelligence officer, has joined Clarifai to serve as senior adviser and member of the company's public sector advisory council.
Fast is a retired Army major general who contributed 32 years of service to the military, having held intelligence-related roles with the Army Intelligence Center, Multi-National Forces-Iraq, National Security Agency and Central Security Service, Clarifai said Friday.
She left the military service branch in 2008 and joined the private sector, where the executive filled leadership positions at Boeing and CGI.
The Department of Defense recognized the retired major general's national contributions with a spot on the Military Intelligence Corps Hall of Fame.
Aside from Fast, Clarifai earlier named Robert Ashley, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, to its public sector advisory council.
Clarifai offers an artificial intelligence platform designed to help federal agencies extract structured information from raw audio, text, video and graphic data.
