Textron's aviation business has received a contract from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to manufacture two additional multirole enforcement aircraft that would support agency efforts to secure the country's borders.

CBP's air and marine operations unit will receive the 28th and 29th Beechcraft King Air 350/360CER planes intended for special mission use, the company said Wednesday.

The extended-range King Air 360 variant is powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney-built turboprop engines and Hartzell Propeller-made four-blade propellers, and is equipped with the Pro Line Fusion digital avionics developed by Raytheon Technologies' Collins Aerospace subsidiary.

Bob Gibbs, vice president of special mission sales for Textron Aviation, said the company recently delivered the 26th King Air 360CER aircraft to CBP under an agency program of record

The fleet is capable of conducting maritime patrols and supporting ground interdiction and air-to-air intercept operations.
