Kevin Shelly, formerly president at Smartmatic's North American segment, will assist federal civilian agencies and state and local governments in his new role as an area vice president at Appian, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Friday.
Shelly brings 25 years of experience in delivering software-as-a-service offerings, systems integration, software-as-a-service offerings and enterprise software consultation work for government customers to the McLean, Virginia-based low-code automation platform provider.
During his more than two-year stay at Smartmatic, the sales veteran helped the company secure a $300 million contract from Los Angeles County through the Voting Solutions for All People program.
Shelly served as VP of federal sales at Axway prior to joining Smartmatic. He also worked at MarkLogic's global public sector unit as group VP.
His career includes servings various leadership positions at Genesys, Affiliated Computer Services, BearingPoint, Sybase and Oracle.
