ASRC Federal has joined an organization that aims to drive economic development in Texas' southeast region by engaging investors, businesspeople, educational institutions and local agencies.
The company said Thursday Jeannie Kranz, senior director for business development strategy and Houston operations, will serve as its representative within the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership.
Jennifer Felix, president and CEO of ASRC Federal, said the company looks to integrate its operations into the region and apply its capabilities to support the mission at NASA's Johnson Space Center.
More than 14K businesses operate in Bay Area Houston's aerospace engineering, information technology and communications, specialty chemicals and biotechnology sectors, according to BAHEP.
