SSA Issues RFI on Customer Credential, Access Mgmt Platforms - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The Social Security Administration has asked information on potential vendors that can support SSA’s need for a new identity credential and access management platform for external users.

A request for information posted Monday says SSA wants an ICAM platform that can provide remote identity proofing at National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Identity Assurance Level 2, multifactor authentication for multiple users, integrated secure password management and risk mitigation and privilege management capabilities.

Other requirements are fraud detection mitigation, risk-based decisioning, delegation, account lifecycle management, adaptive access control, omni-channel platform and self-service options.

Interested vendors should state their capabilities to migrate existing credentials and related information, support enterprise management and configuration of ICAM policies, standards and business rules and carry out end-to-end auditing and business intelligence reporting, among others.

SSA said it will use the feedback from the RFI to develop a market assessment report to inform acquisition and budget decisions.

Responses to the RFI are due June 30.
