General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business and Conflux Technology have teamed up to build a heat exchanger for remotely piloted aircraft through a metal additive manufacturing process.
Conflux will help optimize RPA systems’ performance by augmenting additive manufacturing heat exchangers as part of the partnership, General Atomics said Wednesday.
Linden Blue, CEO at GA-ASI, said the partnership will potentially enable flexibility in product design and integration and reinforce the endurance of RPAs.
General Atomics has been tapped by the Australian government to provide armed MQ-9B SkyGuardian units to the Australian Defence Force.
