Boeing has received a 22-month, $54.5M contract modification from the U.S. Army to supply retrofit packages for the Apache multirole combat helicopter.
The service branch obligated $26.7M from fiscal year 2018 aircraft procurement funds for the modification, the Department of Defense said Monday. Boeing will also provide software development services under the modification.
The Army previously awarded Boeing $560M in orders to modernize Apache helicopters to the AH-64E configuration for foreign military sales customers.
Work under the modification is slated to run through Nov. 30, 2021 and will take place in Mesa, Ariz.
