Techstars and the U.S. Air Force have named 10 companies to the 2020 class of an accelerator program that seeks to help the service branch connect with startups with novel technology platforms.
BAE Systems’ FAST Labs, Air Education and Training Command and the National Security Innovation Network, formerly MD5, support the Air Force Accelerator Powered by Techstars as sponsors, Techstars said Thursday.
The 10 selected startups are:

- Lauretta.io
- Mesodyne
- MSBAI
- PeakMetrics
- Southie Autonomy Works
- Spiral Technology
- Target Arm
- VeriTX
- Vermeer
Other sponsors of the accelerator program are the Air Force Research Laboratory, AFWERX and the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center’s Tyndall program management office.
Nineteen of the 20 alumni companies have received more than $20M in defense contracts through AFRL/AFWERX’s redesigned Small Business Innovation Research “Open Topic†program.
