Microsoft has launched a new cloud-based offering that uses artificial intelligence to handle blockchain transaction data, Coindesk reported Friday.
The Azure Blockchain Data Manager integrates the Azure cloud platform with a distributed ledger concept and works to connect blockchain data from nodes or smart contracts to databases or data stores.
The new offering can also support supply-chain operations through internet of things capabilities and is interoperable with various blockchain types, including JPMorgan’s enterprise-level Quorum ledger.
“Blockchain can ensure that everything from the algorithms to the data going in and out of them is trustworthy,†noted Marc Mercuri, Microsoft’s principal program manager for blockchain engineering for Azure.
KPMG also plans to release an AI-driven blockchain offering in January.
