Dewberry has secured a contract to carry out pre-operations planning efforts and gather information that will help the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Direct Housing Assessment Team transport and incorporate manufactured housing units in disaster areas.
The company said Tuesday it will help the team validate direct housing options that will address permanent and temporary requirements for disaster-affected survivors.
According to Dewberry, the direct housing options will include multifamily repair and lease programs as well as rental services.
FEMA also established the Logistics Management Directorate to provide transparent logistics capacities that will deliver disaster response services and supplies to affected communities.
