Microsoft, NDAA Form Online Safety Awareness Partnership

Microsoft has partnered with the National District Attorneys Association to launch an online safety awareness campaign and use the former’s resources to combat cases such as scams and human trafficking. The association intends to accelerate the use of deterrence technology and data at prosecutors’ offices to meet Microsoft’s Digital Civility Challenge goals, the NDAA said Wednesday.

“Harnessing the expertise of both Microsoft and prosecutors across the country will make it harder for criminals to prey on innocent people through education and investigative tools and techniques,” said Jonathan Blodgett, board chairman of the NDAA.

Jacqueline Beauchere, global digital safety advocate at Microsoft, added that the company is looking forward to deploying its tools and resources to encourage “safer and more respectful online interactions among people in all communities.”

NDAA expects the initiative to be implemented by over 5,000 prosecutors and their offices across the country.
